Meet the founder:
Samantha's background is in advertising and sales and she previously worked for media and publishing companies in the South West of England.
Originally from Bolton, she studied fine arts & graphic design, and achieved a BA(hons) degree in Advertising Design, before embarking on a City & Guilds sugarcraft decoration course.
After working in advertising sales, she merged her love of baking & advertising to start her own business, Little Miss Cake Maker, which evolved into Corporate Cakery from the initial concept of creating branded corporate cakes for local businesses - printing logos & messages onto cake toppers and creating tasty promotional goodies.
In 2014 Samantha was shortlisted in the top 100 start-up businesses in The Pitch UK, has been featured on The Guardian's website as a Startup of the Year in the Small Business Showcase, and was a finalist in 2 categories of the Wiltshire Business of the Year Awards 2014.
In 2015 Samantha was shortlisted again in the top 100 in The Pitch UK, and also shortlisted as Creative Entrepreneur of the year in the Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2015. In September 2015, Samantha moved Little Miss Cake Maker out of her home kitchen into a shared commercial unit, working alongside local catering company Hospitality Services 247.
In 2016 Corporate Cakery was created to cater specially for businesses, making it quick and easy for business owners to order bespoke branded cakes online. Samantha has now recruited her first baker, enabling her to spend more time with customers and increasing awareness of Corporate Cakery all over the UK.
Our Core Values:
We source ethical ingredients and refuse to use battery farmed eggs in our products. We always use free-range eggs, and are more than happy to cater for vegan and dairy-free needs when requested.
We're also on a quest to avoid unsustainable palm oil (which is easier said than done). The majority of our products are now palm oil free, and we're working on eradicating this from ALL our ingredients in the very near future.
We strongly believe that an appreciated employee or client is a happier employee or client. People are quick to complain but we strive to make it EASY for you to say thank you to the people that deserve it.
It's important to trust and believe in a company. We will always tell you what goes into our products, everything is available to view online before you buy. When we promise something, we deliver. If you request something specifically, we will always be honest and open if we can help with your needs and what is possible.
We know that lots of people like to bake, and it's great that so many people enjoy doing so. Corporate Cakery strive to have the highest standards, and while our cakes are no longer 'homemade', they are made in a brilliantly clean commercial kitchen, by hand, and with an incredible amount of care and attention. Our products are the best quality possible, and our customer service matches. Every order is baked fresh and unique to you, and from our kitchen to your office/venue, you won’t find anything less than excellent standards.
